Terms of Service

These terms are a contract between you and Heap Labs LLC (“Heap Labs”, “we”, “us”), the company that operates Sharkling, covering your use of sharkling.io and the Sharkling iOS and Android apps. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you don’t agree, don’t use Sharkling.

Sharkling is an educational poker training tool: lessons, drills, puzzles, and solver-informed feedback. It is not gambling. We never take wagers, hold gambling funds, pay out winnings, or connect you to real-money games. Virtual items such as XP, hearts, gems, streaks, league placements, and play-money chips have no monetary value. Chips cannot be transferred, redeemed, or cashed out. Purchased chips never change Ranked Play starting stacks, entries or re-entry, matchmaking, timers, ratings, cards, leaderboard eligibility, or Daily Cup entries. Chips are used only for optional Bankroll Cash, cosmetics, and explicitly eligible study access.

A Hand Deep Dive costs 5,000 chips for one completed eligible hand and may be reopened for 24 hours. Chip-funded Deep Dives are limited to three per week. We reserve chips before analysis, charge only after a usable result is returned, and release the reservation on failure or timeout. Premium includes solver review for covered hands; Premium+ retains its Custom Solve quota and node-locking for supported spots.

Poker involves skill and chance. Training with Sharkling does not guarantee results at any table. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you, including whether and where you may play poker for money — and for playing responsibly if you do.

• You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live).
• Keep your sign-in method secure; you're responsible for activity on your account.
• One account per person. Don't share, sell, or transfer accounts.
• Provide accurate information and keep your email current — it's how we reach you about billing and legal notices.

The core skill tree, daily puzzle, leagues, equal-stack Ranked, Daily Cup, Play a Rival, and friend tables are free. Paid tiers — Premium ($14.99/month or $99.99/year) and Premium+ ($49.99/month or $499.99/year) — unlock unlimited practice, the leak dashboard, and the postflop solve library. Premium+ adds the supported tournament library, a monthly Custom Solve quota, and node-locking. Subscriptions do not include chip multipliers, chip-pack discounts, chip stipends, or a Ranked-play advantage. Prices are in USD; local taxes may apply.

• Web billing is handled by Stripe. Native billing is handled by Apple or Google through your store account. Eligible new native subscribers may receive a 3-day free trial on Premium Annual; when the trial ends it automatically becomes a paid annual subscription unless cancelled first. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
• Cancel anytime from your profile or the store account used to subscribe; you keep paid features until the end of the current billing period. We don't prorate partial periods.
• If a renewal payment fails we'll retry and notify you; continued failure downgrades the account to the free tier.
• If you're in a jurisdiction with a statutory cooling-off right, you can withdraw within 14 days of first purchase for a full refund — otherwise payments are non-refundable except where the law requires. Write to support@heaplabs.co and we'll sort it out.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next renewal, never mid-period.

• Don't break, probe, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, or scrape the solve library.
• Don't use bots or automation to farm XP, streaks, leagues, or drills.
• Don't resell, redistribute, or publicly republish lesson content or solver outputs.
• Don't use Sharkling to facilitate real-time assistance in games where that's prohibited. Study between sessions; don't cheat during them.
• Don't upload content you don't have the right to share.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Where reasonable we’ll warn you first.

Club chat, shared hand discussions, and public hand links are also governed by our Community Standards. We ask you to accept the current Terms and Community Standards before you create content other people can see; private learning and playing do not require that extra acknowledgement.

Content you submit (for example imported hand histories) stays yours. You give us the license needed to store, process, and display it back to you and to generate your training feedback. Everything else — the lessons, drills, solve library, characters, and software — belongs to us or our licensors, and we grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use it inside the app while these terms apply.

Sharkling is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we don’t warrant that lessons, solver outputs, or grading are error-free or that the service is uninterrupted. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or $50 if you paid nothing), and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages — including money lost playing poker. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You can delete your account at any time from your profile, which ends this agreement. We can suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms, and may discontinue the service with reasonable notice — in which case we’ll refund the unused portion of any prepaid period.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules; mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live are unaffected. If we make material changes we’ll notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect; continuing to use Sharkling after that accepts the new terms.
